PgP5 Plant is Bosch Group’s newest expansion in Malaysia a semiconductor test site in Batu Kawan Penang. The construction has begun in May 2021 and first series of production to commence in 2023. With the long-term forecasts for growth of semiconductor component quantities, coupled with the front-end production in Bosch’s Dresden facility in Germany, capacity expansion is required for the back-end production, which is the final testing phase of semiconductors and sensors. PgP5 will primarily focus on the final testing of components manufactured at Bosch Automotive Electronics’ fab in Dresden, Germany. The plant will also house R&D and training facilities.

Job Description

As a Protection and Security Manager (Department Head) to manage and lead overall Site PRS (Protection & Security) Department and take charge on overall operations, efficiency and effectiveness of all security personnel as well as implement theft prevention initiatives in RBSP. Safeguard and secure our company business, properties, employees and stakeholders by enforcing site security concept and procedures as well as loss prevention initiatives. Lead plant ERT (Emergency Response Team) execution during emergency situations. 

  • Manage, develop and deploy effectively in house and outsource security to meet company’s security and protection objectives. 
  • Establish and implement Site Security Concept and procedures to employees, visitors, contractors and vendors in accordance with company policies, rules and regulations.         
  • Review, enhance and improve site security concept and procedures when is required to mitigate on going security risks and gaps in our company 
  • Manage effectively Integrated Security Systems such as CCTV, VMS, Access Control System, Intrusion Detection System (IDS)/Emergency Door Alarm, Key Management, Boom Gates and Badging System. 
  • Develop tactics and strategies for effective and meaningful deployment of security personnel in preventing crime and generally maintaining public order. 
  • Lead plant ERT (Emergency Response Team) execution –Take immediate action in the event of major safety/security incidents and control the situations until the arrival of the relevant body e.g. HSE Manager or Site Management. 
  • Report out any safety violations and near miss cases to Department Management and HSE for corrective actions to support safe place to work initiative. 
  • Audits, assessment, investigate and recommend corrective measures to department management on security findings /gaps as part of theft and loss prevention initiatives. 
  • Supervise, motivate and develop PRS subordinates to achieve the departmental goals through the set of values of the company. 
  • Work closely with C/AUP, Regional and Division PSOs, DSO and CPO to ensure align with Corporate Security Requirements and Policies. 
  • Establish and maintain liaison with relevant Government agencies (Police, Fire Brigades, etc.) for security and safety purposes. 
  • Establish and maintain network within the Free Industrial Zone Community of security heads and Police for exchanging security intelligent and latest information.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 to 10 years working experience in the law enforcement or community residential security/protection
  • At least a Bachelor’s Degree in any applicable field
  • Good communication skill and interpersonal skill
  • Sharing security knowledge to site management, key stakeholders and subordinates
  • Negotiation skills, ability to handle conflicts constructively and firmly
  • Team player, strong integrity, observant and alertness
  • Good business rapport with law enforcer (Police) and FIZ Security Managers
  • Proactive, Analytical and Critical Thinking with strong security and safety mindsets.
  • Good investigation, audit and interview skills
  • Using of necessary computer tools (e.g. PowerPoint, MS-Office, Excel)
  • Fluent in English and Malay languages (written and oral)
  • Good knowledge in managing integrated Security Systems
  • Supervisory and coaching skills, able to lead site security programs
  • Strong implementation of rules, regulations and procedures
  • Strong people’s development of subordinates
  • Assertiveness, able to stand firmly on own objectives and principles
