Job Description

Position Summary

Develops, implements, and coordinates policies and programs concerning employment, training and development, employee relations, compensation, payroll, employee benefits, employee health, and employee services, and advises senior management on human resource issues.

Duties & responsibilities

  • Implement the global human resource strategy so that the company attracts, manages, develops and retains the employees it needs to achieve its current and future business objects.
  • Direct a variety of human resource related programs to ensure that the company’s current and future human resource requirements are met and that employees are recruited, managed, organized, trained, evaluated and rewarded in accordance with global human resource strategy.
  • Maintain and develop the programs of recruitment, training, employee development, compensation, benefits, performance management, organizational development, equal employment, affirmative action, employee health and wellness, human resource administration, payroll, employee communications, employment and labor relations.
  • Liaise with functional or operational area managers to develop and implement local human resource strategies that are appropriate for their business needs consistent with global human resource strategies.
  • Evaluate the company’s future workforce needs in order to recommend changes to the company’s human resource strategy and adapt existing current human resource programs to meet these needs.
  • Lead, direct, evaluate and develop a team of human resource professionals to ensure that the company’s human resource strategy is implement effectively and within established budgets that the company complies with all relevant regulations, laws and employment standards.
  • Select and coordinate the use of consultants, agencies, insurance brokers, insurance carriers, pension administrators, training specialists and other outside services.
  • Direct and coordinate activities designed to promote and maintain a high level of employee morale.
  • Develop cost containment strategies and recommend the HR budget and reporting variances of actual against budget.
  • Manage the administrative activities of the overall company so that administrative staff, equipment, supplies, and other resources are used effectively and economically.
  • Externally Liaise with local government, relevant authorities and industry associations to understand the updates of the law, regulations and policy to ensure company’s compliance and obtain the benefit from the preferential policies.
  • Acts as a coach to all leaders to develop management and leadership skills to create an environment of inclusion, diversity, and high engagement with the workforce.
  • Research and implement best practices within HR to ensure that the business is continuously improving and adapting to change.
  • Be knowledgeable of the business, including financial, manufacturing, and products to be a business partner with the senior leadership team.

Qualifications

Qualifications & experience

  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in a business-related field, Masters with emphasis in Human Resources a plus;
  • 8+ years of exempt level HR experience;
  • PHR/SPHR or similar certification a plus;
  • Require MS Office Suite software experience at a professional level.

  • Must be able to communicate with employees of all levels – written and verbal;
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, governmental laws and regulations, insurance plans and technical information furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form;
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and personnel policies and procedure manuals;
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, executives, government agencies and other employees of the company;
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists;
  • Must work well under pressure or with deadlines.

Quality, Environmental Health and Safety

  • Read and understand Quality, Environmental, Health & Safety policy and discuss with their immediate superior any specific points which require clarification;
  • Take reasonable care for their own safety and those around them who may be affected by their acts or omissions;
  • Co-operate with the company in achieving and maintaining Quality, Environmental Health and Safety standards where relevant and as directed;
  • Report to their manager any actual or potential risks, accidents or dangerous occurrences that they identify in the workplace.

  • To ensure the confidentiality and integrity of HydraForce information is maintained and is not compromised;
  • To observe and adhere to IT policies and procedures in effect at any given time;
  • To report any security incident or perceived irregularity to their Line Manager and the IT Department.
