Job Description

  • As part of the Solution Team, consult with the internal customer on an operative level with an in-depth expertise. Prepare and drive decisions based my understanding of the customer’s business. Participation in Solution projects and drive all relevant KPI and figures of the Solution.
  • Evaluate requirements and transform into abstract business models, as well as into logical and technical views. Consult with WMS team members (e.g. SAP EWM, SAP WM, BlueYonder WMS) and configure the ShipExec system to run as per the customer requirements.
  • Play an integral role with defining requirements with central development teams, collaborates with process experts / delegates, developers daily and with product, service and solution teams as needed.
  • This individual will work as a senior WMS consultant for the different phases of the consulting lifecycle and consult with the customer in detail both remote and onsite for project milestones
  • Prepare and drive decisions to meet the customers’ requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Provides in-depth expertise focusing on a specific customer and Solution cluster with an end-to-end approach
  • Ensures matching of technical IT requirements with business requirements in alignment with IT Architects
  • Supports development activities with focus on project preparation and early project phases to ensure that demand and supply are aligned (may also manage smaller Solution activities)
  • Support effort estimation for development activities and identification of the required skills for specific development activities
  • Connect with Business Consultants to gather technical and non-technical business requirements
  • Perform Solution assessment and validation using relevant tools such as user acceptance testing, defect and issue reporting etc.
  • Conduct requirements/process analysis using relevant tools such as process modeling, reverse engineering, organization modeling, use cases, etc.
  • Perform detailed Solution analysis and design
  • Inform Solution Manager and Development Lead of potential continuous improvement opportunities
  • Collaborate with the other members of the Team to understand, design, and implement customer requirements on an end-to-end basis.
  • Work with the process experts to translate customer requirements into efficient system-supported processes.
  • Design technical implementation details in close collaboration with the developers with a focus on overall customer experience.
  • Align with other consultants, process experts, and developers inside and outside of one’s own team to ensure a consistent procedural and technical application (architecture)
  • Collaborate with other associates to constantly increase own knowledge and skills about the own E2E process chain and adjacent processes
  • Work towards creating synergies across customers within the same E2E process chain to constantly increase the level of standardization
  • Gathers requirements/process analysis and provides in-depth expertise as part of the roll-outs by matching customer requirements with technical requirements as part of the detailed analysis and design
  • Supports effort estimations for development, rollout activities as part of the project roll-outs
  • Support training initiatives of team members

Qualifications

  • Expert in relevant Logistic Solutions (e.g.ShipExec, SAP EWM, SAP WM..) with good practical experience
  • Good understanding of overall business model and impact on processes
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, ability to moderate workshops and discussions
  • Strong commitment to fulfil customer satisfaction
  • Strong analytical and time management skills
  • Has good knowledge of the overall E2E logistics process chain with in-depth knowledge in multiple segments (e.g. EWM, WM, BlueYonder)
  • Good understanding of overall business model and impact on related processes in logistics and related modules
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, good in explaining technical information to non-technical people with ability to moderate workshops
  • Strong analytical and time management
