Job Description
We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support our Printing Process with Capacity and Scrap improvement initiatives within the MOE5 Planar Sensor Element (PSE) value stream. The successful candidate will develop a comprehensive understanding of sensor element processes, with a particular focus on reducing scrap, equipment procurement, and improving capacity in the PSE grinding process.
As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will utilize various problem-solving tools to enhance yield, and implement quality improvements. You will also assist in creating and maintaining all relevant production and quality documentation, such as PFMEA, CP, MSA, Engineering Guidelines, Production Quality Instructions, Engineering Changes (ECR), and gage calibration to comply with TS/ISO/IATF requirements.
You will work collaboratively with other process areas in the value stream to ensure successful execution of CIP activities and Policy Deployment objectives. Additionally, you will closely collaborate within a cross-functional team to deliver systemic improvements within specified timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated, innovative team player with a passion for working in a dynamic environment where multiple projects must be managed simultaneously.
Qualifications
Indefinite U.S. work authorized individuals only. Future sponsorship for work authorization is not available. This position is not open for an international assignment.
- BS in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical) or equivalent technical degree or finishing a BS.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role or relevant Co-op / internship experience preferred.
- Must have strong analytical problem-solving skills, preferably utilizing techniques such as Root Cause Analysis, Shainin, 8D Methodology, Kepner-Tregoe, etc.
- Strong project management skills, as well as verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience procuring and managing high value capital machinery acquisition projects preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and team-oriented skills; to include technical diagnostics and guidance with off-shift associates as needed.
- Must have, be able to obtain, and maintain a valid passport as some travel may be required (~5%).
- Other task/responsibilities as assigned.
