Job Description

  • To provide supervision, guidance and support to all team leaders and operators and ensure that all teams are operating efficiently and meeting production targets. Duties and tasks are frequently non-routine. Resolves most questions and problems, and refers only the most complex issues to higher levels.
  • Supervise plant operations in accordance with plant policies and procedures.
  • Enforce/improve standards of safety and ergonomics, quality, productivity, and   housekeeping with respect to 5S standards.  All aspects of production are drive by lean manufacturing principles of predictability, organization, and efficiency improvement (through the elimination of waste). 
  • Guide labor by enforcing the handbook policies (i.e. absenteeism, standards of conduct, discipline, etc.).
  • Guide teams in productive recordkeeping of scrap, traceability, downtime, rejects, and required control plan checks.
  • Allocate labor in response to fluctuating orders; set priorities for production.
  • Cooperate with other shifts to satisfy weekly production goals.
  • Ensure adequate training of production operators to allow for flexibility in labor allocation to meet production goals.
  • Support maintenance of training records and matrix for assembly lines.

Qualifications

Education: Engineering Degree (Mechanical/Industrial/Manufacturing/).

Experience: >5 years in automotive industry
