Bosch Security Systems, LLC. seeks a Technical Buyer (Multiple Positions) at its facility located at 12000 Portland Avenue South, Burnsville, MN 55337. Purchasing Representative (PR) in various project types including: NPI, transfer, and RPP teams. The primary responsibilities of the PR will include: Staying up to date with state-of-the-art technology. Responsible for monitoring and ensuring targets are met (Quality, cost, and part availability) of purchased components/products throughout project timeline. Share status of components and/or products under responsibility (including risks and uncertainties) with project team. Ensure supplier selection for components and/ or products is according to BT/PUR supplier strategy.  Responsible for RFQ, negotiation, and Awarding of all components and/or products under responsibility. Ensure sufficient production capacity at supplier for serial delivery after SOP according to forecast. Responsible for material availability until Start of Production (SOP). Responsible for sample approval and component and or/product release. Responsible for initial tool order & contracts of loans. Responsible for Q-requirements defined by ENG and manage technical discussions with the suppliers. Identify and generate RPP ideas. Responsible for Quality Gate (QG) preparation and approval. Support innovation scouting, market research and benchmarks needed in innovation projects. 15% domestic and international travel required. REQS: This position requires a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent in Business, Supply Chain, Mechatronic Engineering or a related field, plus 3 years of professional experience in purchasing or supply chain. Additionally, the applicant must have professional experience with: (1) ERP system or SAP; (2) Working with various commodities and markets; (3) New product sourcing or project/program management; (4) Engineering design and manufacturing process knowledge and experience; and (5) Mechanical parts, Electrical parts, and processes.
