Job Description

As the Senior Sales Finance Analyst for the North America Business Unit (BU) Communication, you are the controlling business partner for our regional sales head and the leadership team, together you steer our sales organization of around EUR 160m annual turnover.

Our BU dedicated sales organization is set up across 10 different business segments.

Your role is to provide transparency and business advice to the sales leaders and the BU senior management. As part of our sales leadership team, you also encourage and live a working culture based on speed, focus and willingness to perform and achieve.

You are responsible for tasks like:

  • Evaluate, drive and support business decisions and sales strategy
  • Interpret the regional sales performance (e.g., vs. Market, Competitors)
  • Plan, forecast and manage financial results and resources (e.g., sales, margin, sales cost, working capital, personnel)
  • Participate in the customer and channel strategy development process and ensure the commercial plan is executed in line with the strategy.
  • Coordinate the Sales forecast (per Segment as well for Turnover as order intake) to ensure alignment with monthly business planning and Yearly Target.
  • Perform financial reporting, financial analysis, trend analysis, forecasting and budgeting of investment, financial controls, PNL analysis on monthly/quarterly and annual bases
  • Perform monthly variance analysis and GAP analysis to annual budget, including graphs, charts and root cause analysis.
  • Meet critical business and corporate deadlines such as the monthly closing, reconciliation and reporting
  • Financial evaluation / business simulations / supporting calculations of main KPIs
  • Co-ordination, control and follow-up of price changes
  • Coordination Customer Contribution to ensure alignment with monthly/annual business planning + financial guidance in customer negotiation
  • Monitoring of Sales Force Budget/salaries and advice sales organization on annual resource planning and variance tracking
  • Constant communication with National Sales Manager, BU Manager, Category Managers and controllers about business performance and measures to be taken
  • Work closely with Distributors to ensure a healthy relationship (Sell in and sell out data, stock situation)
  • Provide back up for functions as: Credit Control (decision maker)
  • Develop, implement and gain consensus around a global sales steering  committee (e.g. steering KPIs, management and reporting processes; price authorization and approval concepts) throughout the regions in partnership with the sales leaders. 
  • Provide back up and support for sales topic around Latin America
  • Support for BU Central topics – approx. 10%

Qualifications

This position is located in Burnsville, MN and is a hybrid position. You must be able to work in the office on a weekly basis. 

You have a clear vision on business controlling and you know how to add value to the decision-making process. You are a valuable sparring partner to senior management. Furthermore, you have:

  • Bachelors degree in Business or Finance
  • 4 plus experience as a senior business partner, preferably in a sales oriented environment;
  • Sound understanding of core controlling processes (e.g. business planning, forecasting, reporting, measure definition & tracking) and management accounting;
  • Strong BI & Advanced MS Excel skills
  • Ability to influence your stakeholders and an entrepreneurial mindset
  • You thrive in a fast-paced environment that is constantly changing
  • You can work in a team, are resilient and have a high level of perseverance as well as intercultural skills
  • You work on your own initiative, taking an analytical, results-oriented and structured approach
  • You are fluent in English
