Job Description

The Powertrain Solutions division develops and manufactures innovative technologies for the entire powertrain in the market segments of Electrification, Passenger Cars, Commercial Vehicles and Off-Highway.

In addition, we enable a completely new driving experience. 

You can contribute to the advancement of eMobility by: 

► Performing Electromagnetic simulations in ANSYS Maxwell (or similar) for Power Electronic Units mainly focusing on the DC-Link Capacitor 

► Carry out detailed simulations in MATLAB regarding current and voltage ripple on the DC-Link Capacitor 

► Strong collaboration with the Thermal Simulation and Hardware Development team 

► Responsibility to find the product optimum regarding load and load capability in complex R&D projects  

► Creating documentation and presenting the results for multidisciplinary project teams 


You could be the person we are looking for if you have/are:  

► Bsc, MSc or PhD in Electrical Engineering or Physics or comparable  

► Strong knowledge in high-voltage & high-current power-electronics design 

► Hands on experience with ANSYS Maxwell (or similar) and MATLAB 

► English and/or German language knowledge, good communication skills

These will give you the edge: 

► Deep understanding of DC-Link Capacitors in high voltage applications 

► Experience in Thermal FEM Simulations 

► Knowledge about e-mobility trends, markets and systems
