Position Summary

The GL Process Leader is responsible for General Ledger process and various activities in the Record to Report end-to-end process of the Business Service Center.

General Job Responsibilities

·        Develop and manage staffing for all service delivery areas.

·        Monitor, track and improve productivity.

·        Monitor, track and improve key performance indicators.

·        Manage the integration of work within the process area and outside the process area to other processes.

·        Decision and responsibility within the respective scope of responsibility

·        Disciplinary measures and appraisal interview. (GPD)

·        Manage and respond to escalated issues within the process and from Bosch customers from the Global and Regional Accounting organizations and Business Units.

·        Participate in scheduled or unscheduled audit activities when appropriate, including mobilizing resources to work with the audit team and to provide the required documents to support the audit process.

·        Ensure that all processes adhere to the standard Bosch process and technology accept where applicable.

·        Ensure all processes adhere to Bosch standard policies and regulatory requirements.

·        Represents tasks in front of management and global/regional CF internal, CF external and Bosch clients in operative context.

·        Control of change and improvement activities

·        Regular and profound exchange with management regarding topics with high attention on results, costs, KPIs.

·        Work with Process Executives within Bosch to understand global standard processes and technologies, while understanding and managing exceptions to standard.

·        Oversee team leaders responsible for teams in all process areas (the General ledger month end close, Journal entry & File, Store, Archive, Account Reconciliation, Fixed Assets, Affiliate Billing and AR Month end close)

·        Ensure that work-plans are completed and communicate team productivity and results.

·        Monitor end-to- end process performance and ensure strong integration and collaboration with other processes and functions.

·        Assist in conflict resolution process throughout center; actively manage the escalation process.

·        Review and provide input to targets for cost / service level controls.

  • Global target responsibility, target and disciplinary responsibility (including mentorship) of the assigned employees including personnel development
  • Representation of tasks towards management and global/regional CF-internal, CF-external and Bosch clients in tactical and operative context
  • Contact person for technical questions and exceptions in the respective topic · Development of target related topics · Process assurance and – improvement and
  • Operative work and problem solving
  • Coordination of complex processes in line with target requirements within existing systems
  • Collaboration in change and improvement activities
  • Decision and responsibility within the respective scope of responsibility.
  • Operative SLA fulfillment towards clients.

·        Maintain alignment with corporate strategy.

·        Lead and/or participate in status and planning meetings with the team, company and clients.

·        Perform other functions related to the position.


·        Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field required, with a MBA preferred.

·        Minimum 5-7 years of accounting experience including experience in a

·        leadership role.

·        Minimum of 3 years of experience in a business services center or similar shared service center.

·        Demonstrated expertise in general ledger accounting tasks (reconciliation, journal entries, reporting, month end close).

·        Strong computer skills including MS Office (Excel), Adobe Reader. Experience with SAP, ERP

·        Experience in continuous improvement processes, including development and implementation.

·        English level C1
