Job Description

This 2 year Advanced Apprenticeship is your chance to support the development of our manufacturing facility at Clay Cross.

Your primary role will be focused on productivity requirements as well as optimising plant processes through continuous improvement strategy and BPS (Bosch Production Systems).

You will be a key point of contact within the department and hope you will support to continually drive a “Quality Culture” throughout the manufacturing environment, ensuring that all new products and processes are introduced on time, in an efficient and effective manner.


Our ideal candidate:

  • Have a degree qualification in an engineering specialism
  • Knowledgeable in problem solving methodology e.g. 8D, Ishikawa, 5Whys.
  • Knowledgeable of Lean manufacturing techniques e.g. Pull system, Just-in-time, waste elimination
  • Have engineering knowledge on manufacturing/ assembly processes such as joining techniques, stamping process, copper pipe production, machining etc.
  • Have existing Project management skills – Microsoft Project knowledge is preferred

Additional Information

  • This role will be based onsite at our Clay Cross Plant
  • Your working hours will be 07:00 – 16:00 Monday to Thursday with a 30 minute lunch break, and 07:00 – 12:00 on Fridays
  • Our expected start date is October 2022, however this is flexible depending on the successful candidate
