Job Description

Research Scientist (m/f) in Data-based Development for Video Perception
- technical lead, shape the research agenda and project roadmap for data-driven development projects in the field of video perception in automated driving, together with local XC(Adas Department) partners and PJ-PACE
- coordinate and lead research activities in data-driven development for perception, including deep learning methods for uncertainty quantification, smart data selection, active learning, data augmentation and synthesis, automated training, and other functions to enable the data loop
- align transfer deliverables and potential research directions with local Bosch customers in CN and at XC (e.g. PJ-PACE)
- create strategically valuable IP for Bosch and publish research results at top-tier AI venues
- support coordination of our academic collaboration with Tsinghua University, and transfer know-how from university collaboration to Bosch; co-supervise PhD students

Qualifications

- PhD in Machine Learning (preferrably Deep Learning or Computer Vision) with excellent publication record;PhD in computer science, data science, mathematics, physics, or related fields with focus on machine learning, deep learning, or computer vision
- profound knowledge of modern deep learning approaches and broad general knowledge of machine learning methods and principles, expertise in perception for automated driving or related fields is beneficial
- proven experience in writing high quality research code and working in a professional software development environment
- proficiency in modern deep learning frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, JAX)
- high intrinsical motivation to solve real, industrial problems with novel deep learning methods
- Strong teamplayer with excellent English skills
