Job Description

The Bosch Center for Artificial Intelligence (BCAI) is the main hub for AI research and technology development across Bosch. With a diverse team of international specialists, we develop cutting-edge AI technologies to be deployed across Bosch products and solutions. Artificial intelligence technologies are impacting Bosch’s products and services in many domains: Manufacturing, Engineering, Autonomous driving, Supply Chain Management and Intelligent Services, etc.

Your tasks:

  • Work in the intersection of research and engineering to bring cutting-edge AI technology into robotic products.
  • Develop and implement scalable AI algorithms to solve real-world problems in robotic handling and grasping. Particularly, work on AI solutions for learning object representations, predicting grasp qualities and learning decision policies.
  • Work within a research and engineering team to develop systems all the way from prototype to product level.
  • Engage with the scientific research community through papers or research presentations.

Qualifications

  • Education: excellent degree (PhD or Master) in Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or similar
  • Experience and Knowledge: strong expertise in developing and implementing advanced machine learning / AI algorithms (e.g., (Deep) Reinforcement Learning, Probabilistic Inference, Planning, ...), significant proven programming experience in Python and at least one modern deep learning library such as Tensorflow or Pytorch, xperience with C++ programming, additional expertise with autonomous systems and robotics software (e.g., ROS) is a plus, hands-on attitude and proven experience in applied research on robotics or machine learning, relevant scientific publications are a plus, experience in collaborative software development, e.g. in Open Source projects or professional environment
  • Languages: fluent in English (written and spoken)
