Job Description

Robert Bosch (Australia) Pty Ltd is seeking two highly motivated and enthusiastic Undergraduate Hardware Engineer Students to join our Cross Domain Computing Solutions team on a full time basis for 13 months commencing Jan 2022 and is based at our headquarters in Clayton, Melbourne.

You will gain invaluable experience and knowledge as an integral part of our Cross Domain Computing Solutions team. 

Some of the tasks that you will undertake with us include: 

  • Assist electronic engineers in the design, development, testing and validation of new products.
  • Contribute to the successful introduction of products and changes into production and assist the cross functional team to achieve the project goals.
  • Ensure all development activities are performed in accordance with the companies’ procedures as well as relevant international standards.
  • Building of samples & prototype electronic control units.
  • Vehicle installation of prototype electronic control units.
  • Contribute to verification activities (including testing), needed to guarantee that product designs comply with customer and internal specifications, and are carried out in timely and technically competent manner.
  • Ensure that all documentation required to support a product’s introduction into production is available on time as required and its quality is to the expected level.
  • Contribute to improving product designs to reduce costs, improve quality/reliability, and increase productivity.
  • Proactively search for potential risks and recommend alterations to mitigate those risks and escalate where applicable in early stage.

Qualifications

You will be meticulous to detail, have the ability to prioritise tasks to meet tight deadlines, work well with teams and have excellent organisational and communications skills.

To be considered for our Student Program, you shall

  • Be currently enrolled in an Undergraduate Electronics Degree (or similar).
  • Preferably completing 3rd year in 2021 (or 4th year for a combined 5 year degree)
  • Knowledge of the traditional hardware development lifecycle is highly desirable.
  • Ability to work autonomously, self-driven, passion for excellence, prioritising customer and internal demands.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Power Point, MS Excel, MS Word).
  • Have effective written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Be legally entitled to work full time (38 hours per week) in Australia.
  • Must have a valid Australian Driving license.
