Job Description

The Warehouse Planner/Scheduler is responsible for monitoring daily work assignments, analyzing status, and making adjustments as needed to ensure that the picking and packing operation runs with no interruption in a balanced flow while reporting, communicating, and escalating issues. The position will set the schedule and prioritize the daily workload for the operations of picking packing, and shipping.

The person in this position will;

  • Plan order lines and release the workloads (waves) to the operation
  • Manage and monitor the workloads across the different warehouse zones and subsystems / sub-processes (replenishment, picking, packing and shipping)
  • Balance the production (workload) between picking and packing process, level the operation production within the day and through the month
  • Prioritize with the support areas (e.g. inventory team, quality team, etc) deviation corrections to complete open orders
  • Serve as the point of contact in the warehouse to the customer service team, clarifying questions and attending priorities / exceptions
  • Ensure continuity and of picks and packs subsystems overseen workforce and monitoring goals
  • Actively coordinate (supporting the area leaders) movement of headcount between subsystems (replenishment, picking, packing and shipping)
  • Continuously monitor aging orders in work queue to re-prioritize pick work, ensuring timely release of orders to pack lanes
  • Monitor conveyor system addressing problems/issues in a timely manner
  • Identify and report WCS or conveyor issues to vendor and follow up to ensure timely resolution
  • Escalate all urgent or unresolved issues to management



Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in leading/supporting operational units in a Planner/Scheduler Role
  • Ability to work flexible shifts

Preferred Qualification:

    Bachelor degree in industrial engineering, supply chain or similar field
    5+ years in logistics or warehouse-operation
    Extended knowledge in SAP and WMS systems
    Knowledge in office-applications (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
    Extended Knowledge in BPS or similar system and Lean and Quality tools
    Excellent written and verbal communication skills
