The division not only offers the most comprehensive repair and maintenance information for all brands and models, but also knows how to find parts for every vehicle and repair vehicles quickly and more efficiently. Bosch offers our customers worldwide a complete range of workshop equipment and a wide range of spare parts - from new and exchange parts to repair solutions - for passenger cars and commercial vehicles. With service training and partner programs for repair shops, Bosch provides automotive competence and knowledge to service technicians around the world. Job Description

What are you going to do as a program manager at Bosch?

For our own garage networks, Bosch Car Service and AutoCrew, we have developed a new garage management system: Workshop Management System (WSMS). The goal of this system is to connect all (independent) garages in Europe to this IT infrastructure as part of our digital ecosystem. The network we create with this contributes to uniformity and standardization of our service.

The Workshop Management System (WSMS) has to become the local standard software for Bosch managed networks in the Independent Automotive Aftermarket. As a program manager you’re going to co-create the roll-out plan for the countries in which our Bosch Workshop Management System (WSMS) is being rolled-out. You’ll be the one tracking progress of the different roll-out steps. This by constantly following-up with the country specific roll-out managers, as well as the external providers.

Your vision and experience is going to be the base for further development of the local software version during the setup phase. Adaptions need to be made country specific to be a perfect competitor in the local market. This will make the product attractive to our target groups. However, the basis will always be our Bosch workshop Management Standard layer.

Your overall tasks as a program manager:

  • Interact between the local project managers (roll-out managers) and the development team, in  order to ensure continuous development and release cycles;
  • Plan financials in a clear and structured business plan, together with the Project Leader, resulting in management KPI’s to be tracked on a periodical basis. This includes budget planning, communication and tracking, both for central developments as well as for country roll-outs;
  • Setup and respect a clear timing/planning in a standardized (Price II) manner,  using milestones planning, communication and tracking. This planning should be done per roll-out country, together with the central Project Leader and regional teams;
  • Coordinate the local roll-out from initiation meeting to roll-out (incl. physical presence to customer meetings, management team meetings, etc. – if required by the local market), together with Project Leader;
  • Prepare marketing materials for effective and efficient market launch, thereby guarding the branding principles (to be verified by AA/MBC and the Project Leader, who is responsible for internal alignment within the expert department owning the brand rights for Bosch Car Service);
  • Implement invoicing concept to serve, designed by the business unit;
  • Coordinate the setup of DSO (data security) concept for Data Security and Privacy regulations to operate the program in line with local Bosch and governmental regulations, incl. compliancy checks to GDPR;
  • Coordinate the roll-out of legal concept, incl. documentation, to serve country roll-out, based on European privacy laws and have this checked by the respective responsible legal departments.  Consult with external lawyers if needed’
  • Create and deliver clear, upfront agreed, management reporting and present project progress to the project’s steering committee.

Qualifications

You are our perfect candidate if:

You have a broad experience in Program Management and you are certified to run projects of considerable size. You find the challenge in a project management role multi-disciplinary teams, both internal and external and being part of a European organization, with the willingness to take (temporary) assignments for other countries. You get things done by motivating and convincing project members based on content rather than hierarchy. You poses an entrepreneurial mind-set, which translates into a profound understanding of the strategic value of projects like this. You can transform the strategic objectives into operational tasks and know how to plan and follow-up on these tasks, throughout the running time of the project.

You also have sufficient experience in the automotive maintenance and repair processes, with a strong focus on independent workshops. Next to this, you have a strong relation in automation by IT within this industry, with a preference of Dealer Management Software experience. This helps you being the interface between the business (IAM) and IT.

Need-to-have’s:

  • Broad experience in the independent aftermarket, understanding of workshop processes;
  • Affinity with and understanding of IT solutions that support operational business within the business environment, preferably within the independent workshops;
  • Entrepreneurial mind-set, with the ability to transfer strategic goals into operational tasks;
  • Ability to steer a project team by motivation on contents, rather than hierarchy;
  • Ability to work with internal and external stakeholders and manage the exchange of information in an excellent and professional way;
  • Fluent in English and preferably at least one other language. (written and spoken);
  • Good inter-cultural skills within the framework of a German company (process-oriented)
