Job Description

Join ramping up Bosch Powertrain Electrification development at the exciting time of tranformation of the automotive industry! We are developing specific electrification solutions for the automotive industry such as components for mild hybrid electrical vehicles (mHEV) and fuel cell electric vehicles (FCEV).

A fuel cell-electric drive system is an economical and attractive technology for mobility with zero local emissions. A fuel cell-electric vehicle is an electrically driven vehicle in which electrical energy is produced by a fuel cell, using hydrogen and oxygen as an energy source. The electric drive converts electric energy into mechanical energy and thereby sets the vehicle into motion. In order for the system to operate as effectively as possible, oxygen is transported to the fuel-cell stack by an Electric Air Compressor (EAC).

Our goal at Bosch is rapid entry to the supplier market of fuel-cell components with the EAC by keeping the key technical and commercial performance indicators in focus.

As a Project Manager, You would be responsible for pilot customer project of the new generation of EAC Inverter.  

Your responsibilities to achieve our common goal:

► Managing the entire project development life cycle from A sample to Start of production

► Coordination of EAC Inverter customer project including Hardware, Mechanics, Reliability, Testing, EMC and Production areas

►        Manage timelines, open issues, reporting of project status & risks

►        Assessment of customer requirements for changes, preparation of quotations for sales

►        Facilitate technical discussions

►      Negotiate technical questions and solutions with the customer, channel domain related technical points towards the customer

►      Commercial assessment and tracking of the project & product, identification of measures for improvements

►     Priorization and decision making over product related topics by understanding the technical context properly

►     Follow automotive development process with conscious tailoring


What makes you special:

►      Bsc or Msc in electrical, mechanical engineering (or similar) study background

►      >5 years of experience in project or program management of electronics and/or embedded software-based projects within the automotive industry.

►      Experience in interacting with automotive OEMs, senior management and project teams.

►      Experience with any of the following (if not all): Functional Safety ISO26262, DRBFM, Requirements Engineering, FMEA

►      You are a self-starter with excellent risk management skills

►      You see the big picture considering all the technical aspects

►      You have very good English skills (German is an advantage)

►      You have strong personality and are good at leading teams
