Job Description

The AE Service Group is searching for a Service Sales person to join the AE Service team to support and grow the existing customer base.  The Service Sales representative will have a clear understanding of the new products, the old product families, and how to apply them successfully into customer applications.  The service sales representative will work closely with the customer, in coordination with the Regional Sales, Distributor Sales, and Engineering Teams in recognizing the needs of the customer, promoting solutions, and making recommendations.  To be successful, service sales representative will be responsible for developing a good rapport with customers and have the ability to understand, communicate and break down technical terminology to non-technical customers.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Establish rapport with new and existing customers
  • Evaluate the technical needs, and opportunities of the customer and make appropriate product recommendations
  • Effectively communicate and explain complex technical information to customers in a way that is easily understandable
  • Keep customers informed about new technologies and products
  • Follow up with customers on existing applications and opportunities
  • Assist the sales team in promoting technical solutions
  • Work with the engineering team to ensure customer project requirements are met
  • Work closely with Lohr, DE on service solution strategies
  • Help ensure that sales targets are consistently met
  • 50% travel


Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree and/or five years of technical sales experience
  • Valid drivers license

Preferred Qualifications

  • Technical / Engineering background preferred
  • Strong Interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and professional appearance
  • Attention to detail
