Job Description

Robert Bosch LLC seeks a Sr. Manufacturing Engineer at its facility located at 4421 Hwy 81 N, Anderson, SC 29621. Work with cross-functional teams to identify key project milestones, including equipment acquisition phases. Work with worldwide assembly team (on-site) to develop assembly technology for new and existing oxygen sensor platforms, assuring adherence to lead plant standards and existing platform lessons learned. Coordinate with international production network leadplant concerning technical content and lessons learned for oxygen sensor assembly generations. Coordinate and manage capital budget items (cost calculations, machine approval requests, maintain project builder structure, etc.). Act as work package specific contact with on-site ceramics development and production to optimize product design. Prepare/create machine specifications, MSA plans, PFMEA, control plan, and machine release activities. Work with international production network to develop new assembly processes to optimize safety, delivery, quality and cost. Lead 8D teams to rapidly respond to quality issues and customer returns. 10% domestic and international travel required. REQS: This position requires a Bachelors degree, or foreign equivalent, in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Technical Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering or related engineering degree, plus 5 years of professional work experience in manufacturing engineering/process development. Additionally, the applicant must have professional experience with: (1) Developing processes and process improvements in the manufacture of Exhaust Gas Sensors (Lambda Sensors); (2) Application of formal problem-solving methodologies and project selection, such as Shainin, Six Sigma, and Kepner Tregoe; (3) Lean manufacturing processes and tools to implement continuous improvement in multiple value streams; (4) Automotive Quality Management Systems (E.G. FMEA, internal & external quality audits, 8Ds); and (5) Coordinating corporate departments (development, international production network, quality, etc.) for international high-volume automotive manufacturing relocation/launch projects.
