- In our team you create new highly compact converter concepts as part of a research team. Join the Bosch corporate research team to create new power electronics solutions through the introduction of new technologies, design approaches and power conversion concepts. Your innovative idea can make a difference in the next generation of power electronics products and help shaping the future of eMobility.
- Take responsibility and develop innovative soft-switching converter designs/topologies for GaN-based switching power supplies; you are actively shaping the topic from first sketch to the final application.
- Furthermore you conduct a detailed research with focus on GaN-based circuit designs; apply appropriate simulation methods and use them to optimize the overall system partitioning (circuit – package – chip). You drive the topic from the initial idea up to the validation in the lab.
- You contribute to a distributed network of researches and developers.
- Education: PhD or equivalent working experience in science/research environment in the field of electrical engineering with focus on power-electronics design
- Personality: flexible, team player and target-oriented
- Working Practice: self-organized, excellent communication skills and analytical thinking
- Experience and Knowledge: profound knowledge in power electronics with focus on converter topologies (switch-mode power supplies, DC-DC converters, chargers, etc.), experience in the design of converters with GaN and/or SiC semiconductors with focus on switching behavior, parasitic elements, driver concepts, protection circuitry and the related passive components like magnetic devices and latest capacitor technologies. Knowledge in modeling and simulation in Matlab/Simulink, Pspice and Plecs
- Languages: good in German and English (written and spoken)
