About the Position

Robert Bosch (Australia) Pty Ltd is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Undergraduate Student Engineer (Systems) to join our Cross Domain Computing Solutions team on a full-time basis for 12 months commencing June 2021.

Tasks & Responsibilities

You will gain invaluable experience and knowledge as an integral part of our Cross Domain Computing Solutions team.  Some of the tasks that you will undertake with us include: 

  • Discuss requirements with the customer, develop solutions and concepts to meet the customer needs
  • ​Study problems and defects, perform basic analysis and work with the project team to find the root cause
  • ​Perform vehicle level testing and calibration

You will find opportunities to develop your expertise and broaden your tertiary studies. A strong support network will smooth your entry into working life: a supervisor and professional engineers will be there to help you succeed.


About You

You will be meticulous to detail, have the ability to prioritise tasks to meet tight deadlines, work well with teams and have excellent organisational and communications skills.

To be considered for our Student Program, you should be able to demonstrate an interest and skill in the following:

  • Be currently enrolled in an Undergraduate degree in Electrical / Electronics, Robotics, Mechatronics or a similar field
  • A GPA > 2.6  or WAM > 70 would be highly regarded
  • Have strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Be legally entitled to work full time (38 hours per week) in Australia

Non-mandatory but desirable skills:

  • Ability in requirement engineering and cascading requirements to other areas
  • Strong communication skills and understanding of negotiations (internal and external)
  • Demonstrating problem-solving skills and understanding methodologies like Product-service systems and 8D
  • Experience in collaborating with cross discipline team
  • Ability to work with the customer, eliciting requirements and concept development
  • Understanding of architecture design
  • Good understanding of Product Life Cycle (PLC) and Defect management lifecycle
  • Experience with product features
