Job Description

  1. Project leader in Manufacturing Systems, Manufacturing Engineering Lead, Customer Problem Solving

  2. Implementing BPS and LEAN manufacturing principles, Process Optimization, Scrap and IDC reduction, Productivity Increase, etc.

  3. Definition and Development of production processes, concepts, productivity improvements, upgrades and modifications. 

  4. Work as part of team (Customer and C/TES) for Problem Solving, Process Optimization and Updates.  Coordinate modifications or improvement strategies.

  5. Execution of Process Analysis and evaluation of the implementation options. Gage R&R, measurement capability, etc.

  6. Provide the correct manufacturing documentation (i.e. Control Plans, PQI´s, Changeover procedures, etc.) for the implemented changes.

  7. Lead projects and workshops including team building for DFMA and PFMEA, Value Stream Mapping, Flow Oriented Layout, Standardized Work, Quick changeover, Pull/Leveling, Problem Solving etc.

  8. Face to the customer: Contact partner for internal/external customer in subjects related to the running project

  9. Capture, analyze, and store data on every stage of production, from design, production through customer delivery, data security, cloud computing.

  10. Support CIP activities and Goal Deployment objectives.


  • 4-year technical degree (e.g. mechanical, electrical, mechatronics, industrial engineering, etc.) OR 3 plus years working experience in manufacturing engineering.  Experience with Problem Solving, Implementing LEAN/ BPS methods, CIP efforts     

  • Experience in production support, process optimization, process improvement, scrap reduction, head count planning, line balancing, cycle time reduction, Lay Out optimization

  • Experience in Machinery/Equipment/Tooling definition and procurement (including structured acceptance, machine and measurement capability studies)

  • Knowledge in several Manufacturing Processes and Assembly operations;

  • Project Management Knowledge and experience is desired (System CIP and Point CIP Method of BPS executed preferred);

  • Working Knowledge of BPS (Bosch Production System) or similar lean manufacturing mindset

  • Active listener with strong interpersonal skills capable of promoting fruitful relationship and empathy with customers;

  • Target oriented with high persuasiveness, creativity and responsibility;

  • Ability to work well in teams as well as to work/act independently;

  • Analytical and structured working style;

  • Professional customer communication skills

  • Motivated to lead others in a project

  • Very good English skills (written and spoken). Knowledge of Spanish and German is preferred.

Additional Information

Indefinite U.S. work authorized individuals only. Future sponsorship for work authorization is unavailable.

Position is preferably located in Anderson, SC, Charleston, SC, or Florence KY, or can be individually arranged

Ability to travel is required and is dependent on the location of projects C/TES-NA supports.  The majority of travel will be domestic and take place during the workweek with occasional international travel opportunities.  Depending on customer/project location, travel can be 50% or higher.  Balance of Work and Family life is important to our group and we do our best to maintain an equitable travel schedule.
