Job Description

The Powertrain Solutions division develops and manufactures innovative technologies for the entire powertrain in the market segments of Electrification, Passenger Cars, Commercial Vehicles and Off-Highway.

With our trend-setting and innovative mobility concepts, we are a preferred worldwide partner for innovative solutions and dynamically contribute to the change in mobility. Doing so, we help our customers significantly reduce fuel consumption and CO2 emissions.

In addition, we enable a completely new driving experience.


Your contribution to something big:

► Create and analyze possible market development scenarios for future powertrain mixture of different OEMs, to predict the transformation of the automotive industry (market share increase of hybrid and battery electric vehicles and other alternative technologies like fuel cell or H2 internal combustion engine).

► Based on the predicted scenarios, support project acquisitions and the definition of the Bosch powertrain technology roadmap and product strategy

► Reproduce current OEM fleet portfolio (powertrain types and vehicle categories) and calculate fleet average weight and CO2 emission using the fleet simulation model

► Create future scenarios based on current and predicted future powertrain technologies, through which OEMs can achieve future emission targets. Perform sensitivity analysis

► Gather and process all required input information from internal and external data sources (legislation changes, market prognoses, public information, internal development departments, …). Incorporate the latest automotive news to capture the volatility of the powertrain market. For missing information, make robust assumptions

► Contribute to studies requested by the project acquisition or management teams. Verify, evaluate and present simulation results on the highest professional level

► Maintenance and further development of the fleet simulation models and modelling methodology

► Maintain internal database of current and predicted OEM fleet data

► Establish new competencies in the growing development team for Powertrain Solutions at the Bosch Engineering Centre of Budapest


What distinguishes you:

► University degree in transportation engineering, mechanical engineering or comparable

► Several years of relevant work experience in the automotive industry

► Passion for the new trends in mobility

► Familiar with the powertrain systems (including the latest development trends both for internal combustion engines and electrified powertrain) and at least basic knowledge regarding CO2 legislation

► Analysis of big size of data, basic skills for programming and scripting (MS Excel incl. pivot tables and macros, optionally experience with MATLAB).

► Very good communication skills and networking in an international environment

► High level of proactivity, independence and entrepreneurial mindset

► Good English knowledge both verbal and written, German is an advantage
