Job Description
The Automotive Electronics (AE) division develops new electronic control units (e.g. for combustion engines, comfort functions, airbags) and a wide range of sensors (e.g. for battery charge state, inertial, yaw-rate, pressure, NOx) in close cooperation with manufacturing. These products are engineered to a state of the art level both in technology and reliability and are to be found in cars of a very large group of manufacturers.
We at Engineering PowerTrain (EPT) are responsible for project management, design, reliability, analysis, simulation, tests, series support, documentation for engine control unit, transmission control unit and Exhaust Gas Sensors projects.
Your contribution to something big
► Coordinating mechanical development activities for leading automotive products
► Leading international and interdisciplinary project teams (design, purchasing, customer, production, layout, sample shop, series preparation)
► Reporting project status regularly to partners and management
► Support of Engine Control units in series from mechanical engineering point of view
► Processing and handling change requests/ projects from internal partner and purchasing
► Fixing supplier related issues (Follow up tool release, deviations, etc.)
► Support production plant at quality issues
Qualifications
What distinguishes you
► University or college degree in mechanical, mechatronic engineering or comparable
► Experience in design (CAD, tolerance calculations, 2D drawings, etc.)
► Understanding and communicating clearly both verbally and in written in English as well
► Precise and systematic working style with an analytical mindset
► Customer oriented thinking and using problem solving methods
What gives you further advantages
► You are effective in German (German is a plus)
► Engineering, production or quality experience in automotive
