Job Description



Bosch Automotive Service Solutions Inc. seeks a Software Engineer at its facility located at 1800 Fairlane Drive, Allen Park, MI 48101. Requirement gathering from customer and materializing it to real time software applications using algorithms and tools. Prepare flowcharts and requirement analysis documents using MS Visio & UML. Involved in all the phases of SDLC (software development life cycle). Developing software using C, C++, C#, Java programming languages with WinAPI, COM, ATL, MFC, STL, .Net, RestClient, Webdriver in accordance with design and specifications agreed by the customer and performing peer code reviews. Utilize all the libraries, methods and concepts of software development like OOPS, OOAD, Design patterns, Multithreading, Multiprocessing, TCP/IP, CAN, Socket programming, Client/Server, Synchronization. Understanding the vehicle communication and proficient in CAN diagnostics to enhance the runtime code and libraries. Debugging software bugs/issues using debugging tools like WinDbg, just in time debugger. Understanding the (IVS)In-vehicle Software parser and enhancing the parser functionality as and how the schema is updated/modified. Develop software for the new technologies added by the customer like GIVIS, GVMS, DCOF, FDSP by understanding the vehicle specification. Help with the planning of the workload for each release which are referred as Agile User Stories. Interact with the customer on day to day basis and participating in technical discussions and proposing solutions. Resolve the filed issues (real time) with quick turnaround time by understanding the crash dump or stack trace. Improve operations by conducting systems analysis; recommending changes in policies and procedures which strengthens the customer’s trust. REQS: This position requires a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Engineering, plus 3 years of work experience in Real-time systems software development. Additionally, the applicant must have professional experience with: (1). C++, C#. JAVA for the design and development of software solutions; (2). WinAPI, COM, ATL, MFC, STL, .Net, RestClient, Webdriver for the design and development of Windows applications; (3). In-vehicle communication protocols thorough in CAN Communications, and CAN Diagnostics; (4). Communication interface standards such as J2534; and (5). Visual Studio, TFS (Team Foundation Server), WinDbg, SQL Server, Purify, XML, UML for the design, development and debugging of software applications. Apply below.
