At the Services team of the Bosch Center for Artificial Intelligence, we apply state of the art Data Analytics technologies and develop standardized tools to enable BOSCH business units to achieve cost savings and enable new IoT business.

Job Description

  • Be part of the technical service and engineering team of the Bosch Center for Artificial Intelligence
  • Work in Operations Research and Data Mining projects with real world datasets
  • Formulate and implement optimization models
  • Compare and select optimization algorithms and software packages
  • Perform tasks such as ETL, data cleaning, modeling, model validation and deployment
  • Implement software solutions with Analytics components


Required knowledge and skills:

  • Master’s degree in the area of Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, Mathematics or similar
  • Strong background in mathematical optimization / Operations Research
  • Good programming skills required in at least 2 of the following programming languages: Python, Java, C#, C+, R
  • Experience with optimization software such as Gurobi, Cplex or similar
  • Experience with both exact optimization (LP, MIP, CP) as well as heuristic optimization (construction heuristics, metaheuristics)
  • Excellent problem solving ability
  • Ability to consolidate business and technical requirements
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills with the ability to communicate technical and non-technical topics

Additional skills:

  • Knowledge of Data Mining algorithms is a plus
  • Experience in manufacturing or supply chain applications is a plus
  • Experience in applying Analytics to practical problems preferred
