We are developing Battery Management Systems (BMS) for 48V Li-ion batteries which are oriented towards mild hybrid electrical vehicles (mHEV) and possibly electrical vehicles. The 48V systems in overall is an essential, cost beneficial step for the automotive industry to reduce the emission and fuel consumption of the vehicles. The 48V high performance battery that includes the BMS electronics is responsible for storing the energy recuperated during braking and for providing energy during acceleration for additional torque.
As a System Sub-Project leader, You would be responsible for the development of the Battery Management System module of the 48V battery which monitors and controls the state and the performance of the battery, communicates with the main control unit of the vehicle, and intervenes when necessary.
Your responsibilities to achieve our common goal:
► Technical coordination of a System engineer team, project planning and monitoring.
► Review of the System technical documents (system requirements, concept documents, reports, etc.).
► Priorization and decision making over System related topics by understanding the technical context properly.
► Creating and maintaining efficient and smooth communication channels both internally (hardware, software and mechanical engineering, plants, services, etc.) and externally (customers and suppliers).
► Monitoring the development process considering customer, internal and all relevant requirements.
► Integration of product class targets into the project including product cost and functionality
► Estimation and monitoring of development budget. In case of change request, adoption of budget with the approval of the management. Estimation of product cost with regards to the hardware.
► Arrange regular SE team meetings including appropriate preparation, targets and conclusions.
► Tracking and documentation of work progress.
► Strong technical involvment into concept development.
What makes you special:
► BSc or MSc in electrical engineering.
► You posses at least basic System and HW competence on hybrid / electric vehicles and Li-ion batteries.
► You have experience as a Project Leader in the field of Automotive Industry.
► You are a self-starter with excellent risk management skills.
► You possess excellent communication skills representing the interests of your project well internally and externally.
► You have good leadership skills.
► You have very good spoken and written English and/or German language skills.
