Job Description


Bosch Rexroth Corporation seeks a Service Engineer - Industrial Hydraulics Aftermarket at its facility located at 2315 City Line Road, Bethlehem, PA 18017. Develops aftermarket sales for repair, parts and field service, market projections and marketing strategies for aftermarket businesses. Redacts and analyzes Project contracts and performs audits based on contractual terms. Reviews specifications for projects, interprets specifications and designs customer solutions for potential Authorized Repair Service workshops. Prepares project estimates from drawings, plans or other record summated by potential Authorized Repair Service or Distributors and report practices regarding utilization of company products. Proposes changes in equipment, use of materials, components and repair service methods to achieve cost reduction and more efficient operations. Supports distributors and authorized repair service shops with Bosch Production System implementation. Identifies special tools for fluid power axial piston units/products and provides technical support for its proper usage. Calculates and Designs hydraulic circuits for fluid power test stands in accordance with Bosch Rexroth Standards, and provides service relating to the use, operations and maintenance of Bosch Rexroth equipment. Resolves issues, conflicts, inquiries or complaints by working closely with Authorized Repair Service and distributors to maintain and develop new business. 60% Domestic and International travel. REQS: This position requires a Bachelor degree, or foreign equivalent, in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering, plus 4 years of work experience in Fluid Power Hydraulic application and service. Additionally, the applicant must have professional experience with: (1.) Fluid Dynamics calculation and AutoCad to determine sizing and specifications for complete hydraulic systems, power units, test stands and individual components, such as fluid power pumps, valves and cylinders using SI and Imperial Units according to NFPA, SAE and ISO standards; (2.) Hydraulics Schematics interpretation to complete hydraulic systems, power units, test stands and individual components, including hydraulic, pneumatic and electric symbology; (3.) Fluid power workshop repair management to organize layout of repair centers, workflow of activities, labor utilization and tools; (4.) Logistics in parts procurement and inventory for hydraulic spare parts and tools to apply logistics and inventory principles based on product and lean manufacturing; (5.) Field Service to determine cause of failures, rectify and find solutions for complete hydraulic systems, power units, test stands and individual components in field to get equipment restarted in the most efficient means possible; (6.) Testing a Repair to determine causes of failures, though inspection, repair and test protocols for hydraulic systems, power units, test stands and individual components; and (7.) Preparing quotations, and designing hydraulic systems according to application specifications. Apply below.
