Job Description

Join ramping up Bosch 48V electronics development at the exciting time of hybridization and electrification of the automotive industry!

We are developing 48V Drive solutions for mild hybrid electrical vehicles (mHEV) and potentially electrical vehicles. The introduction of 48V systems is an essential, cost effective move by the automotive industry towards the reduction of the emission and the fuel consumption of vehicles. The 48V Drive is responsible for the energy recuperated during braking and for transmitting the energy during acceleration for additional torque.

As a System Engineer, You would be responsible for the 48V Drive systems including technical series support of the running generations and development of new generation.

Your responsibilities to achieve our common goal:

►      Analyze and clarify internal and customer requirements of the product, assessment of changes

►      Technical Change & Defect Management including problem solving

►      Carry out System Releases including relevant documentations, review of System test cases and reports

►      Develop model based system architecture, define system requirements and interfaces

►      Develop the functional concept of the product which provide input towards the technical domains (HW, SW, ME) for the design implementation

►      Negotiate technical questions and solutions with the customer, channel domain related technical points towards the customer

►      Cooperation with different domains across the globe (Hardware engineers, Software engineers, Test engineers, Mechanical engineers)

►      Review of the System related technical documents (specification, concept, architecture, etc.)

►     Priorization and decision making over System related topics by understanding the technical context properly


What makes you special:

►      Bsc or Msc in electrical engineer study background

►      Having at least 3 years experience in the field of automotive engineering

►      Preferably worked as a SW or HW developer and you want to try yourself out as a System engineer in the automotive industry

►      It is an advantage if you have worked with any of the following (if not all): FMEA, Functional Safety ISO26262, DRBFM, EMC, Requirements Engineering

►      Having experience with drives (e.g. 12V, 48V, higher power,…)

►      Being a self-starter with excellent risk management skills

►      Seeing the big picture considering all the technical aspects

►      Having very good English skills (German is an advantage)

►      Having good coordination skills

►      Being willing to accept responsibility
