Job Description

Join ramping up Bosch 48V electronics development at the exciting time of hybridization and electrification of the automotive industry!

We are developing Battery Management Systems (BMS) for 48V Li-ion batteries for mild hybrid electrical vehicles (mHEV) and potentially electrical vehicles. The introduction of 48V systems is an essential, cost effective move by the automotive industry towards the reduction of the emission and the fuel consumption of vehicles. The 48V high performance battery that includes the BMS electronics is responsible for storing the energy recuperated during braking and for providing energy during acceleration for additional torque.

As a Hardware Engineer, You would be responsible for the development of the Battery Management System module of the 48V battery, which monitors and controls the state and the performance of the battery, communicates with the main control unit of the vehicle, and intervenes when necessary.

Your responsibilities to achieve our common goal:

►    Develop requirements definition aligned with the internal and customers

►    Create corresponding HW design documentation, worst-case calculations, validation and test plan design

►    Calculating and simulating the behavior of electrical circuits and elements

►    Implementation of electronic changes

►    Cooperation with international development partners and Bosch development teams


What makes you special:

►      BSc or MSc in electrical or mechatronics engineering

►      Having a fundamental knowledge in the following HW competence areas: analog, digital electronics, power electronics, and embedded systems

►      Being able to understand PCB designs, schematics and layout

►      Having preferably worked as a HW engineer already in the automotive industry

►      Being a self-starter and fast-learner

►      Very good spoken and written English and/or German language skills
