Bosch Building Technologies is a leading global supplier of security, safety, and communications products and systems. This internship is at the business unit Communication Systems. This unit is responsible for the development of operational audio platforms for several Bosch units. The department consists of 10 employees and in located in Breda. The past months they have been working on software tool called OMNEO control. It is written in C# and it offers a user interface to set up audio connections between devices. The team wants to make two additions to the tool. It will be your challenge to extent the tool in using more security feature from the audio platform. Job Description

In adding control and audio security to the OMNEO control tool, your tasks will be:

  • Getting acquainted with our platform, the OMNEO Control tool and audio distribution (protocols) and find points of improvement;
  • Creating a plan for implementing control and audio security in C# in both the business layer and the GUI of the tool;
  • Testing the results on Windows by doing pilots and improving the tool with the results;
  • When you are a graduation intern, the GUI work will also include a formal user experience process with GUI design and extensive user testing.

Qualifications

You are studying software engineering, IT or similar and are currently looking for a working or graduation internship starting February 2020. Additionally, you recognize yourself in the following points:

  • You possess a proactive, open attitude;
  • You have good knowledge of C# and the .NET Framework;
  • You can work independently;
  • You dare to ask questions to colleagues;
  • You continuously want to improve your work and proudly share results;
  • It is a plus if you have knowledge of standard (TCP/IP/Ethernet) networks.
