This position is located 25 miles north of Fort Wayne, IN.

Job Description

Duties listed below provide major key points, but may have additional related duties assigned

  • Proven Leadership Skills 
  • Identify, Develop and Lead Cost-Savings and Supply Chain Process Improvements
  • Coordinate with Material & Production Planning and Purchasing to define and develop Supplier Sourcing Strategies which support LOG goals
  • Monitor and maintain delivery and quality performance activities, including debits and premium freight
  • Assist in measurement setting and monitor of KPI’s
  • Responsible for maintenance & completion of assigned reports for AiP & Germany
  • Identified SAP LOP Key User
  • Oversees maintenance of total demand requirements based on customer forecast, releases and internal demand requirements for assigned responsibly.  Analyze and maintain 21-month forecast
  • Interfaces with customer contact to determine and establish validity of demand requirements and communication of shipment delivery
  • Coordinates efforts to ensure inbound / outbound schedules are attained including; expedite management, off-site warehousing and dunnage
  • Define and maintain appropriate finished goods levels to meet AiP LOG goals
  • Monitor and assist in resolution of violations to capacity resources and flexible fence planning parameters.  As required, negotiate with customer contact, demand requirements that are unresolvable.  Involve Sales and LOG personnel as required
  • Collaborate on production build and material planning priorities.  Involve Production and Engineering as required 
  • Provide internal communication for all Customer Service / Shipment related issues
  • Provide visibility and assist in timely resolution / disposition of Quality related issues and customer requirements
  • Schedule and track expedited shipments
  • Monitor & Update Customer systems (i.e.: Ford DDL)
  • Monitor & Address Customer EDI release issues populating SAP
  • Responsible for managing Engineering Changes for assigned responsibility
  • Coordination of Program / Product Phase out
  • Analyze and disposition of obsolete and excess materials
  • Working knowledge of all LOG planning processes and functionality
  • Assist in inventory reconciliation
  • Performs other duties as required

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or (5+ years demonstrated work experience)
  • Minimum of five years of progressive responsibility in materials management

Preferred:

  • Strong working knowledge of SAP
  • Practical understanding of Supply Chain management processes and systems
  • LEAN Manufacturing experience
  • Developed Root Cause Analysis Skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Project, Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Demonstrated success with teamwork, organization, planning, time management, dependability, reporting and documentation skills
  • Aptitude to work cross-functionally and independently
  • Strong communication (verbal and written)
