The Bosch unit in Braga belongs to the Car Multimedia division and is focused on making the vehicles our third living space. Job Description

Your contribution to something big:

  • Automated lab environment for the development of Highly Automated Driving sensors;

  • Laboratory infrastructure automation, towards testing activities automation (control over equipment as well monitoring);

  • Design, implement and validate laboratory equipment drivers;

  • Integrate laboratory equipment with different levels of complexity;

  • Support test script automation (with the focus on the optimization of the implementation and execution time);

  • Work within a shared team between the University of Minho and Bosch (knowledge and experience exchange);

  • Support communication and reporting with different internal and external entities.

Qualifications

What distinguishes you:

  • MSc or PhD degree in software, electrical engineering or comparable (e.g.: robotics, automation);

  • Knowledge of ROS;

  • Experience with C/C++, python and Qt in Linux Ubuntu environment;

  • Experience with optical systems (point cloud processing);

  • Previous experience with industrial communication protocols is a nice to have (e.g.: modbus, profinet, …);

  • Creative way of thinking with “Can-do” attitude;

  • Structured and independent working style;

  • Ability to work as part of an agile cross-functional and cross-institutional team;

  • Excellent communication skills;

  • Fluent communication in English.
