Job Description

  • Technical point of contact to plant of supplier for general and strategic tasks
  • Responsible for quality and production process related issues at the supplier in series
  • Ability to solve any technical issues at supplier using the principle of “on-site, on-the-spot”
  • Responsible for supplier development (e.g. supplier quality improvement programs, Q-basics, line-walk)
  • Supports other quality functions on request with expert knowledge and expertise in material fields
  • Aligned to supplier and material fields and works in tandem with Purchasing Direct Material
  • Management of technology and expertise in material fields  mechanical & electro-mechanical assemblies
  • Expert quality methods & tools
  • Evaluates overall quality performance of supplier
  • Initiates and participates in process audits

Qualifications

  •  University degree in a technical field such as mechanical engineering, electrical engineering or comparable
  •  3+ years of work experience in a technical field – preferred experience in a technical department, production, field service or quality department
  •  Auditor knowledge or comparable professional experience in quality management (e.g. auditor VDA6.3, ISO-9001 training)
  •  Product knowledge about mechanical assemblies and electro-mechanical assemblies ; as well as knowledge of manufacturing processes, metrology, Q - methods and quality tools
  •  Strong communication skills, self-confidence and problem solving abilities
  • English - very good written and spoken language skills  
  • German – represents an advantage
  • Travelling availability (possible 50% of work time)
