Job Description

Repair: Inspect, check, test, repair and reassemble tools to meet quality, performance and safety specifications. Meet productivity and repair time standards as measured by SAP. Repair tools in order as prioritized by the company. May check quality of repair work completed by new associates.

Safety: Use testing equipment to evaluate failures and make warranty determinations. Observe safety guidelines for technicians. Keep workbench and surrounding area free of clutter and obstacles. Make suggestions when unsafe tools need to be replaced in the facility.

Communication: Provide feedback to Supervisor and/or Lead Technician. May call customers with pricing issues, repair and order status and other repair issues. May provide technical assistance to others as needed.

Continuously Develop product and technical knowledge: Participate in company sponsored training programs that promote product and technical knowledge.

Miscellaneous Duties As Assigned (i.e. shipping, receiving, picking, new hire training) Participates in cleaning and maintenance of building and equipment.

Qualifications

Repairing power tools, equipment with small engines and related equipment OR completion of technical/vocation training program.
Ability to read product documentation and have basic knowledge of electricity.
PC and Business systems skills (SAP experience preferred).
Communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
Previous Related Work Experience Preferred .
