Job Description

Responsible for ensuring process compliance and quality improvements for the Engineering section NE1-MM (Multimedia: NE, CI1, ADIT, BSOT) and Line management of the team.

Business and strategic responsibility

o   Responsible for process definitions, compliance and driving process and quality improvement initiatives in the section.

o   Responsible for achieving organizational goals on process certifications like ASPICE L3 and implementation of SAFe, Lean process towards efficiency.

o   Responsible for process Definition and Quality Assurance (Process Deployment) as per ISO9001 / ISO TS - 16949 in Software Engineering.

o   Coordinate with tool development, process definition teams in RBEI and in CM headquarters.

o   Alignment of Group to the Department/BU/Company Vision, Mission, strategy and objectives

o   Support Head of Engineering (HoE) in realizing business opportunities within the department.

o   Engagement via inputs to HoE on project status and possible business opportunities and risks

o   Deliver Business Plan targets (PYO/revenue): Resource deployment on billable projects and Deployment Efficiency tracking, Invoicing and follow up.


o   Functionally coordinating with RBEI/QMM towards organizational level process alignment and quality initiatives. Be the section SPOC for quality and process related topics.

o   Give inputs to central Process Definition team on process and tool improvements

o   Deployment of common QMM identified process changes, methods and tools at NE or Section level, including training and hand-holding with the support of DQAs; Drive common methods at section level (eg. 8D, DFSS, DRBFM, FMEA practices as applicable)

o   Coordinate regular internal, external audits and drive implementing the action plans necessary

o   Implementation of the company policies, rules, and processes relating to the assigned sub-function.

o   Achievement of the defined service levels in the assigned sub-function area

o   Customer Satisfaction – delivery to Cost, Quality, and Schedule, Responsibility for Customers and business areas as assigned to respective group.               

o   Engagement via: MIS reports, MSRs, team meetings etc.


o   Associate Development via the available instruments such as GPD, CpTM, CDD, CAD and TAR

o   Plan appropriate competency development, mentoring of Architects, build up second line. Plan and nominate TCP, PCP associates for approval by HoE             

o   Recruitment of the necessary associates in line to the business and strategic needs     

o   Facilitate problem solving and collaboration within team


o   Engineering graduate (BE/B. Tech/ME/M. Tech) with 12-15 years of experience

o   Experience in project and people management of large teams (at least 20+ engineers)

o   Experience in managing projects with distributed teams across locations, including international teams

o   Hands on experience defining Process, Method & Tools (PMT) for engineering product line

o   Hands-on experience on ASPICE, SAFe. Product development experience for Safety compliance systems based on ISO 26262 will be an added advantage.

o   Good knowledge of Application Lifecycle Management solutions (DOORS, RTC, RQM, GIT etc.)

o   Good knowledge of SW product / project life cycle process and hands on experience SWLC tool like RTC

o   Knowledge & experience on Configuration Management, Requirement Management & Defect Tracking tools

o   Experience in working with German customers, Global customers, OEMs

o   Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

o   Have entrepreneurial mindset and very good networking and interpersonal communication.
