Job Description

The Connected IoT Devices Team manages software engineering projects which involve embedded software and IoT connectivity for Bosch connected devices. Current projects include the Dremel 3D printers and the Dremel Laser Engraver.

This internship will focus on supporting software development and testing of Dremel's current and new connected device products.

Qualifications

The candidate should be enrolled in a 4-year technical program that includes a focus on Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical engineering or comparable degree.

At a minimum, the candidate must be in the first year of developing new skills to program in C or C++. Java and C# are a plus. With respect to studies, the candidate should have already started 200-level course work spanning embedded systems and microcontrollers, electrical circuit analysis, logic design, computer organization (memory, CPU, I/O), data structures, and algorithms. The ideal candidate can cite at least one example of project (coursework) demonstrating software design and development. The ideal candidate can also highlight their code development activities outside of the classroom (whether this was in a past internship, previous job experience and/or open-source / development project based on a specific interest).

Additional Information

To qualify for Bosch’s Domestic Internship Program, you must:

  • Be a full-time student or recent graduate (<6 months) at an accredited university
  • Maintaining at least a 3.0 GPA in a degreed program
  • Not now or in the future require sponsorship
