Job Description

This position supports Farmington Hills/Plymouth site Human Resource projects & activities. Primary responsibilities include:

  • Lead and/or support special site HR team projects related to associate attraction, engagement, development and retention
  • Support site HR activities such as orientation, intern program activities, diversity and inclusion program, wellness events, etc.
  • Support with completing I-9 paperwork for new hires
  • Prepare site related HR communications and presentations
  • Participate in weekly site HR Business Partner forums
  • Provide support to corporate HR Business Partners, as needed
  • Other duties and projects, as assigned

Qualifications

  • Must be currently enrolled in an accredited university
  • Pursuing a Bachelor's or Masters Degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business or related field
  • Minimum of a 3.0 GPA
  • Experience leading or managing projects
  • Proactive, able to adapt, flexible, self-motivated and self-starter
  • Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities while meeting required deadlines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as work independently
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint; experience with Microsoft Access preferred
  • Previous internship experience preferred
  • Ability to work 30-40 hours per week
