Job Description

Perform research, develop and implement algorithms in one or more of the following fields, applicable to automated vehicles:

  • Probabilistic environment representation with 3D occupancy grids
    • Semantic occupancy grid
    • Particle-based occupancy grid
    • Occupancy grid based segmentation, classification and tracking
  • Sensor modeling (radar, video, lidar)
  • Computational geometry
  • Performance evaluation of sensor data fusion systems

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • Ph.D. in robotics, computer science, or engineering
  • 3+ years of professional experience with software development for robotic systems

Preferred Qualifications

  • Expertise in developing, understanding and implementing complex algorithms efficiently and correctly
  • Experience with complex data structures
  • Excellent C++ programming skills
  • Excellent knowledge and proven expertise in at least one of the following fields:
    • Probabilistic environment representation with 3D occupancy grids
    • Sensor modeling (radar, video, lidar)
    • Computational geometry
  • Proven system integration and software architecture skills
  • Excellent communication skills
