Job Description

Responsible for installation, testing, analyzing, maintaining, repairing and training on Bosch Pharmaceutical products at customer sites. Provide customers with excellent technical customer service and ensure complete satisfaction. This position has a directand significant impact on maintaining our customer base as well as growing new business for Bosch Packaging Services.

  • Provide updates and modifications to machine control software at customer sites and training
    customers on use and maintenance of equipment.
  • Provide field service repairs, training and installations as scheduled by Field Service
    department.

  • Train customers on proper operation, maintenance and safety rules of customer equipment.

  • Assist production with final machine testing and checkout.

  • Coordinate development activities and upgrades related to updating and improving machine
    functionality.

  • Support all aspects of operating controls systems, equipment and machinery.

  • Provide support to customers, Customer Service and Sales, as required.

  • Work in a cleanroom envirionment, fully gowned. Work in tight quarters; on top and underneath equipment standing, stooping, kneeling and bending continuously (approx. 66% of the time).

  • Lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis

  • Maintain a flexible schedule allowing for travel on short notice. Travel extensively in North America as well as worldwide, when needed. Approximately 80% travel required.

  • Submit to safety, background, and drug/alcohol testing as required by customer(s).

Qualifications

BASIC REQUIREMENTS

  • Must have a two-year Packaging Machinery degree or commensurate work-related experience. A BS in Electrical Engineering is preferred.

  • Must have a minimum of five years in the Packaging Industry installing and troubleshooting PLC and motion control software and hardware.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Prior work experience in repair/maintenance of capital equipment or electronics, such as servo
    drives, HMI's and programmable controllers.

  • Must live near a major airport and may be required to live in a specific geographic area to better
    serve a specific customer base. Due to business needs, approval would be required,
    post-hire, if an associate wishes to relocate.

  • German-speaking skills a plus.
  • Ability to support various software control platforms for complete packaging lines.
  • Proficiency in operating controls
  • Demonstrated advanced mechanical, electrical and software skills. systems of equipment (Allen Bradley, Siemens, PLC, PMAC, etc.)
