The Bosch Engineering Centre of Budapest has been established in 2001. Today, it is a major research and development hub within the Bosch world focusing on the big mobility trends: automated, electrified and connected mobility. More than 2100 engineers are working together on complex automotive products within various fields of engineering from software to mechanical and hardware product development. Your ideas will be part of products improving the life across the globe.
The Automotive Electronics (AE) division develops new electronic control units (e.g. for combustion engines, comfort functions, airbags) and a wide range of sensors (e.g. for battery charge state, inertial, yaw-rate, pressure, NOx) in close cooperation with manufacturing. These products are engineered to a state of the art level both in technology and reliability and are to be found in cars of a very large group of manufacturers.
Your contribution to something big
► Develop mechanical die-cast design solutions for platform and customer projects
► Ensure that die-cast designs created at the department are following the DfMA (Design for Manufacturing) principle
► Enhance competency of die-cast design and tooling at the department
► Drive sourcing process as tool expert
► Drive the tool design and part release process based on his/her experience in designing die-cast parts&tools
► Drive the introduction of new technologies and design elements into development projects
► Active participation in building up know-how for worldwide lead development role in Budapest
► Performing calculations and creating technical evaluations
► Preparation of drawings and 3D CAD models
► Ensure that the developed design is matching all customer, internal and manufacturability requirements
► Cooperate within Bosch and external partners/experts (other development locations, plants, universities, suppliers, customers)
What distinguishes you
► Finished studies (BSc, MSc) in mechanical engineering, mechatronics or comparable
► 10+ years of experience in designing die-cast parts and tools
► Knowledge and experience with at least one CAD system
► Good written and oral skills in English (German is a further advantage)
► Persuasive powers as well as good communication and presentation skills
► Analytical and structured mind
► Target orientation
► Team player and pro-active attitude
