The Bosch Engineering Centre of Budapest has been established in 2001. Today, it is a major research and development hub within the Bosch world focusing on the big mobility trends: automated, electrified and connected mobility. More than 2100 engineers are working together on complex automotive products within various fields of engineering from software to mechanical and hardware product development. Your ideas will be part of products improving the life across the globe.
The Automotive Electronics (AE) division develops new electronic control units (e.g. for combustion engines, comfort functions, airbags) and a wide range of sensors (e.g. for battery charge state, inertial, yaw-rate, pressure, NOx) in close cooperation with manufacturing. These products are engineered to a state of the art level both in technology and reliability and are to be found in cars of a very large group of manufacturers.
Your contribution to something big
► Lead a team of 4-6 reliability engineers in the field of mechanical development
► Tasks of the reliability team:
► definition of product use cases, life cycle and derivation of related loads
► contribution to product design within internal multidisciplinary engineering team under consideration of loads
► and requirements
► discussion of product reliability and validation related topics with internal and external customers
► definition of validation tests according to international standards, customer specifications, ageing laws, etc.
► in case of test failures, support root cause investigation, statistical risk estimation and implementation of
► corrective measures
► create reliability reports in English or German, presentation within the project team and to internal or external customers
► Coach the team in methods and systematic engineering, leading by content
► Supporting people management (recruitment and employee development process)
► Define standard processes to ensure that all Bosch and customer requirements are met
► Ensure continuous improvement on a systematic way
► Handle a project in the field of responsibility
What distinguishes you
► M.Sc. in physics, chemistry, mechanical or electrical engineering or similar area (PhD is advantage)
► Experience in the field of mechanical development and project management
► Knowledge of preventive engineering methods (e.g. DFSS, DfR, FMEA, DFMA, 8D, PDCA)
► Strong ownership mind-set
► Good coordination and communication skills
► Strong analytical and structural thinking, outstanding problem solving skills
► Customer and solution orientation
► Good English or German level both oral and written, the knowledge of the other mentioned language is an advantage
