Do you have an entrepreneurial mindset with a background in purchasing? We are currently looking for an Indirect Purchasing Team Lead. This position will lead a Regional Indirect Purchasing Team and be responsible for developing and executing an effective regional purchasing strategy within the global strategy framework.  As a Regional Team Lead, you will:

• Drive lean and effective process and contract landscape in indirect purchasing
• Ensure continuous improvement of processes / procedures to ensure high service level to Internal Business Partners
• Act as Regional Key Account for AMEC to support Internal Business Partners, e.g. with perspective to processes
• Support and lead a regional indirect purchasing team
• Assess and manage current sourcing processes and act as a "consultant" to meeting current business needs
• Lead cross-functional projects and work with a variety of groups to understand the procurement requirements and establish cost effective negotiation tactics and strategies
• Establish and manage relationships with internal customers/stakeholders
• Form business partnerships with key suppliers
• Establish sourcing policies and procedures

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, industrial engineering, mechanical engineering or similar.
• At least 5 years of experience in purchasing, indirect purchasing experience strongly preferred.
• Ability to regularly travel domestically/regionally (up to 25%) and internationally (1-2 times/year)
• Passionate, flexible and performance oriented with a high level of resilience and assertiveness.
• Strong team player with preference to work in international teams.
• Self-motivated, structured and bring an entrepreneurial mindset.
• You have a high affinity for cross-departmental cooperation and international business.
• Proven track record in achieving objectives, experience in leadership and stakeholder management.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in business administration, industrial engineering, mechanical engineering or similar.
• Previous experience with indirect materials, as well as experience in material field and supplier strategy is strongly preferred.
• Ability to communicate in Spanish is preferred. German is an additional plus.
