Job Description
What you will do
This position is as a member of the Residential Controls Team where you will ensure our products meet not only the regulatory requirements, but also our customer’s requirements and expectations.
You will participate in the testing and development of controls used in our residential product portfolio.
A strong technical knowledge of controls, electrical knowledge, good communication and troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work in a cross functional environment is required.
How you will do it
• Create control specifications
• Work with suppliers to provide specifications and develop proof-of-concept components
• Develop and execute validation test plans as part of the product development process
• Maintain test schedules and provide updates to the larger team
• Supports Technical Services Team to provide support for field problem resolution when required
• Supports Manufacturing Team for troubleshooting when required
• Work with cross-functional teams (product engineers, labs, manufacturing engineers, quality, etc.) to validate control design
Qualifications
What we look for
Required
• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
• A minimum of 3+ years of experience in HVAC controls or field application experience
• Working knowledge of electronics, controls systems, protocols and device interconnectivity
• Ability to communicate control functionality to various levels of the organization and external customers
• Proficiency in a Windows operating environment, including e-mail and Microsoft Office software
• Strong interpersonal skills and decision-making ability
• Effective and professional communication and organization skills
• Proven record of working in a cross-functional team environment
