Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Equipment Calibration Technician to join our team in Wichita, United States. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that all measurement and testing equipment operates within specified tolerances and meets industry standards. You will perform systematic calibrations, maintain comprehensive records, and contribute to our organization's commitment to quality and precision.
- Perform calibration procedures on various precision measurement instruments and equipment using established protocols and calibration standards
- Operate and maintain calibration equipment, including digital multimeters, pressure gauges, thermometers, and specialized testing devices
- Document all calibration activities, including measurements, adjustments, and results, in accordance with quality assurance requirements
- Identify equipment malfunctions and perform troubleshooting to determine root causes and implement corrective actions
- Maintain organized calibration schedules and ensure timely completion of calibration cycles for all assigned equipment
- Verify equipment accuracy against certified standards and adjust settings to achieve required specifications and tolerances
- Conduct preventive maintenance on calibration instruments to ensure optimal performance and longevity
- Prepare detailed calibration reports and maintain accurate records for audit and compliance purposes
- Collaborate with other technicians and departments to resolve equipment-related issues and improve calibration processes
- Stay current with calibration standards, procedures, and industry best practices
Qualifications
- 2+ years of related professional experience
- Proven experience performing equipment calibration and precision measurement tasks
- Proficiency with calibration equipment and precision measurement tools
- Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple calibration tasks efficiently
- Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Ability to read and interpret technical specifications, blueprints, and calibration procedures
- Proficiency in documenting and maintaining detailed technical records
- Knowledge of quality assurance standards and calibration best practices
- Strong analytical skills to identify equipment issues and implement solutions
- Preferred: Calibration-related certifications (ISO 17025, NIST standards, or equivalent)
- Preferred: Experience with data analysis and statistical process control
- Preferred: Familiarity with preventive maintenance procedures
- Preferred: Experience in regulated industries such as manufacturing, aerospace, or pharmaceuticals
