Job Description
We are excited to offer you the opportunity to join our Indirect Sales department as an Indirect Account Manager!
The Indirect Channel is responsible for managing, developing and supporting the HVAC distribution network for Hitachi to drive sales growth, improve margin performance and strengthen brand presence across indirect channels. The role focuses on building strategic relationships with distributors, wholesalers and channel partners while ensuring commercial targets, forecasting accuracy and strong channel enablement.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
1. Channel Sales Leadership & Performance Management
- Lead and manage the indirect sales team to achieve sales, margin, and discount targets.
- Develop KPIs for channel performance, stock sell-out, pipeline contribution, and account activity.
- Conduct coaching and structured performance reviews.
2. Distributor Relationship Management
- Build strong partnerships with key distribution partners.
- Conduct regular business reviews and performance meetings.
- Support distributors in sales planning and opportunity development.
3. Channel Strategy & Enablement
- Implement channel strategies to increase Hitachi penetration.
- Support partners with joint marketing, product campaigns, and incentives.
- Ensure alignment of materials and messaging with market needs.
4. Sales Planning, Reporting & Communication
- Contribute to weekly and monthly team meetings reviewing distributor activity and forecasts.
- Present performance and insights to senior management.
- Provide competitor and market trend visibility.
5. CRM Discipline & Administration
- Ensure sales team logs accurate CRM data.
- Track partner opportunities and forecast inputs.
- Enforce minimum call rates and documentation quality.
6. Forecasting & Supply Coordination
- Forecast partner stock requirements and seasonal demand.
- Align supply planning with distributor needs.
- Monitor inventory, constraints, and demand patterns.
7. Training, Development & Product Knowledge
- Deliver training to internal teams and distribution partners.
- Coordinate distributor training days and product launches.
- Identify knowledge gaps and deploy corrective training.
8. Channel Engagement & Market Influence
- Support partners during key customer interactions.
- Attend trade days, exhibitions, and events.
- Enhance brand presence across the distributor network.

Qualifications
Education requirements:
- Proven technical experience is essential with HVAC (knowledge of Hitachi HVAC offering and or competitors is preferable)
- Experience managing indirect channels or distribution networks.
- Strong CRM and forecasting proficiency.
Skills & Attributes:
- Design and application experience in air conditioning, chillers, heating and control systems with the ability to guide clients through design concepts as necessary
- Knowledge and understanding of current legislation
- Experience of presenting on both power point and system training to customers
