Job Description
We are seeking a strategic Site Maintenance Manager to join our leadership team in Wichita. This is an outstanding opportunity to lead and implement a Total Productive Maintenance program for one of our flagship plants. In addition to leading a strategic program, you will also be responsible for leading and advising an experienced staff of Maintenance and Tooling professionals.
The ideal candidate is a detailed oriented self-starting problem-solver who possesses demonstrated success in building and implementing strategic Maintenance plans, systems, processes and procedures, who is an effective cross functional leader with strong collaboration skills and who is focused on accountability, delegation and empowering a Maintenance team.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES:
- Provide leadership to establish a TPM program through the implementation of principles such as Autonomous Maintenance, Planned Preventative Maintenance, Quality Maintenance, Early Management of new equipment, continuous improvement, Health, Safety and Environment of the workplace, and Educating and Training of people and teams.
- Develop predictive maintenance program with IR thermography, vibration analysis and ultrasonic testing.
- Analyze production equipment to prevent costs associated with unexpected machine downtime and to find opportunities for improvements.
- Develop project schedules and realistic cost estimates that are executed as defined to support the requirements of the business.
- Plan, direct and delegate responsibilities and assignments to maintain uninterrupted production and manufacturing costs.
- Ensure maintenance of accurate records with asset repair history and preventative maintenance schedules through Maximo software.
- Ensure compliance with ISO procedures and standards and conducts training and certification.
- Lead people according to bargaining unit agreement, established safety programs and procedures within assigned area of responsibility.
- Coordinate and participate in general administrative and technical programs such as cost reduction, communications, methods and training.
- Lead preparation and implementation of indirect spend studies and initiatives while partnering with indirect procurement leadership teams.
- Implement changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of work crew.
- Work with manufacturing engineering and production teams to ensure successful launches of new equipment – equipped with a spare parts program and preventative maintenance program.
- Conduct regular problem-solving events to understand root cause of recurring maintenance issues and implement corrective actions to improve equipment uptime and reliability.
- Implement and handle daily metrics that drive awareness and problem solving around maintenance downtime.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
- 5+ years of Maintenance Manager experience in a manufacturing/production environment.
- Experience implementing Total Productive Maintenance and Preventative Maintenance programs.
- Experience developing predictive maintenance programs with IR thermography, vibration analysis and ultrasonic testing.
- Experience with large industrial equipment, spare parts procurement, new equipment start up and manufacturing processes leadership.
- Strong understanding of automation – robotics, PLC’s and new equipment integration.
- Experience successfully working with Unions and Union Leadership.
- Experience with culture transformation and change management.
Preferred:
- Steel fabrication and steel stamping experience.
- Experience with Lean, Six Sigma and Operational Excellence.
