Job Description

PRINCIPAL DUTIES:

  1. Analyzes production equipment to prevent costs associated with unexpected machine downtime and to identify opportunities for improvements.
  2. Develops aggressive project schedules and realistic cost estimates that are executed as defined to support the requirements of the business.
  3. Plans, directs, and delegates responsibilities and assignments to maintain uninterrupted production, product quality schedules, and manufacturing costs.
  4. Assures maintenance of accurate records with asset repair history and preventative maintenance schedules through JCIMMA, Maximo, or similar software.
  5. Assures compliance with ISO procedures and standards, and conducts training and certification as required.
  6. Assures compliance with bargaining unit agreement, established safety programs, and procedures within assigned area of responsibility.
  7. Develops predictive maintenance program with IR thermography, vibration analysis, and ultrasonic testing.
  8. Coordinates and participates in general administrative and technical programs such as cost reduction, communications, methods and training.
  9. Leads preparation and implementation of indirect spend studies and initiatives, while partnering with indirect procurement leadership teams.
  10. Assists senior management with plant improvements and expansions.
  11. Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of work crew.
  12. Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS:

  1. University degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  2. A minimum of 5 years experience in a related field with supervisory experience.
  3. Proficiency in a Windows operating environment, including email and Microsoft Office software.
  4. Strong interpersonal skills and decision making abilities.
  5. Effective and professional communication and organization skills.
  6. A minimum of 5 years of  exprience in electrical, PLC, welding, pipefitting, pneumatic, hydraulic, general maintenance and tooling applications.
