Job Description
The Cycle Counter is responsible for ensuring a high level of accuracy of inventory levels on campus by performing cycle counts daily, weekly and quarterly, and resolving any and all discrepancies in a timely manner.
Job Responsibilities
- Ensure the integrity of the physical count of the in-house inventory via cycle counting
- Execution of the Inventory cycle count per the Inventory Cycle Count Schedule
- Segregating parts with visual signs of damage or deterioration
- Documenting on specified Business Unit inventory cycle count work sheet the results of the count and identifying the counts that exceed their established discrepancy tolerances
- Re-count all parts that are out of tolerance
- Ability to effectively communicate with two-way radio
- Overtime is required to meet production demands and can include Saturdays and Sundays when necessary
- Other duties as directed
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1+ years of distribution center experience
- 1+ years of experience in cycle counting
- Must be available to work Monday through Friday 6:00am - 2:30pm
Preferred Qualifications:
- Excellent attention to detail
- Must be able to work with numbers (add, subtract, multiply and divide)
- Familiarity with operating systems (SAP) is preferred
- Must be able to work with numbers (add, subtract, multiply and divide)
- Ability to accurately count product and convert counts into meters, feet, etc.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
- Strong analytical skills
- Proficiency in Windows and Microsoft Office software is a plus
