Job Description
Teachers are responsible for planning, implementing, and supervising educational programs for a group of children.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Arrange and decorate classroom and maintain a comfortable environment
- Determine cognitive, social, and physical needs of children
- Develop a curriculum plan and carry out all indoor and outdoor activities
- Organize and assemble materials for a variety of learning experiences
- Create periodic progress reports regarding development of individual children
- Assist children with self-help skills
- Supervise snack and meal times
- Set-up classroom naptime
- Direct and supervise Teacher’s Aide
- Enforce standards of behavior with approved discipline techniques
- Monitor children’s interaction and help solve conflicts
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Must have minimum of twelve units of Child development or Early Child Development Education
- Toddle teacher must include three units in Infant-Toddler Development
