Job Description
Reports to the Director of Internships and Experiential Learning. Work specifically with departments/majors that require internships (Accounting, Business Management, Small Business/Entrepreneurship, Multimedia Programming & Design, Video Arts & Technology), as well as those recommending internships (CIS and Communications), and will work directly with students for other possible sponsored experiential learning opportunities. Evening/weekend hours may be needed.
Conduct outreach to engage new community partners and expand relationships for internships and other opportunities.
Tracks and maintains records of student internships and engagement activities.
Collaborates with supervisor and staff to analyze, and present program data.
Uses trends and assessment data to assist supervisor in developing and initiating new and innovative solutions to best engage with external community partners, manage events, and reach departmental goals.
Manages office communication tools (i.e. newsletter, social media , print material) to increase visibility of the office and opportunities.
Coordinates events including, but not limited to, panels and employer information sessions.
Supervises Federal Work Study students employed at the office.
CUNY TITLE OVERVIEW:
Supports an academic internship program providing career development and professional work experience.
Acts as liaison between the College and employer sponsors, monitoring the success of students' internship experiences
Supervises student internships, assuring adherence to related College and governmental policies and regulations
Creates and conducts orientation sessions and workshops for students in the internship program; coordinates applications, interviews, and placement as part of overall student outreach
Provides faculty orientation and development related to internship programs
Implements and evaluates competencies and other success factors
Performs related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and four years' related experience required.
Excellent communication skills required.
Experience working in project/program management, internship management, employer development, recruitment, marketing, business partnerships, business development, higher education, or related field preferred.
Proficiency in using CSM (i.e. Symplicity) and similar platforms.
Familiarity with academic advising and degree audit software.
Strong attention to detail.
Database management and reporting skills are essential.
Ability to train others on procedures.
Comfortable with public speaking to deliver presentations.
Previous positions which include career advisement duties.
Experience in working with and supporting underrepresented populations, and deep commitment to advancing diversity and inclusion goals.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
Salary $44,552 - $55,782
